It was all about the Vegie Patch today and I couldn’t have been happier with how the restoration of this giant soon to be vegetable garden turned out. The client was astounded with my work, not only because of how the finished site looked but also the time it took me to complete it. Just a half days work with my Bobcat Hire and this overgrown, raggedy backyard is now screaming for some seeds to be planted.
Today’s client needed their Shed Pad prepped and leveled in lead up to having the cement slab laid. The hard fill had already been dropped off, so the task was by all means a standard and fairly quick job to complete using my skills as a Bobcat Operator. However, after a bit of a survey of the surrounding area outside of the shed, I noticed the surface was fairly uneven and that the recent rain had collected in puddles.
If you’re having a new home built or thinking about it in the future, you should know that precise preparation will result in a longer lasting home and a quicker construction time. I’m an expert in the field of New House Connections and Excavations and know how the process should flow from step to step. I would also recommend that any inexperienced owner consult with a knowledgeable contractor first.
Now this was certainly are large backyard that needed some serious attention. As you can see from the first picture, there are large mounds of soil that have been overgrown with grass due to them being there for some time. Trust me, these were everywhere and were bigger than they look in the image. The owner was preparing the block for a subdivision and needed to have the mounds and site leveled off.
Located out at Swan Reach in the Barossa Valley, this little shack is being extended to double the living & storey size to enjoy the views of the Murray River. Both Bobcat and Excavator were required to firstly locate and remove an old septic tank that needed to be disposed before levelling out the site (and what an old tank she was!)
Using the Bobcat, I’ve transformed this patch of earth into a nicely graded and level horse arena. There was certainly a bit of preparation needed that involved leveling the area and removing hidden rocks and rubble. The owners had already arranged for the sand delivery, which I then commenced spreading over the top layer. You can see the different layers in the pictures.
Out at Ward Belt near Gawler today, leveling out a new horse arena for Alba View Equestrian Horse Riding School. It’s important to ensure the area is prepared expertly to an even level and that rocks and rubble are removed before layering the top layer of sand. You can see from picture that the arena looks great and is now ready to get some kids and horses in there. Giddey Up!
